Took a while to receive the one I was sending out but finally got it mailed today.

 

I think it's really cool that John matched most of us up with people a long distance from each other. I know I wish I were able to hand deliver mine.

 

Sent mine out Friday, should have been delivered yesterday

 

Sent today, but with so many miles to travel, guessing when it will reach destination is the same as when throwing a bottle into the sea....

Posted today. I am told it will take 5 days to reach the US and then it is in the hands of the US Postal service. Hopefully it will arrive in good time.

 

I posted mine several days ago. It should arrive in plenty of time.

I posted the Saturnalia gift today. I really had a lot of fun selecting the gifts and boxing them up for mailing. I felt like a kid again and kept changing my mind what I wanted to send.

 

I finally received the coin I selected for my giftee! They have somewhat specific collecting interests, so it took quite a search. I could not find anything on vcoins, Forum, or other dealer sites I frequent, using many search terms.

Finally, my wife said, "Why don't you look on EBay?" (supply your own wife-tone). I am all like, "Yeah right, why not go down to Walmart and see what they have?". Of course, first search, what I hope is the perfect coin pops up from a dealer I have met in person many times. That crow tastes pretty good on Thanksgiving with the proper seasoning and cranberry sauce.

Should be mailing it tomorrow.

Wow, you guys are on the ball!! Good thing, it prompted me to make my selection and purchase. Should be here in a few days, and I'll ship it right out. This is great!!

 

I sent my gift out yesterday, 11/22, and I'm right there with Deacon Ray. I hadn't been here at CT long, nor known enough about ancients, when you all had the exchange last year so I was happy to be able to participate this year. I've not yet received my gift, but I'd be quite content not to receive anything at all. The joy I found in selecting a meaningful coin and boxing it to make it special to the receiver was quite satisfactory!

 

Well I received my gift yesterday, now I just have to use will power not to open it until late December, thank you whoever sent it.

 

What do y'all think about this: Saturnalia starts on December 17. What if I posted a thread on that day in which you could all share your coins with the group (if you wanted to), and you could reveal yourselves to your recipients (again, only if you wanted to). That way we keep it all in one place for the sake of convenience...

 

I like that suggestion.
