Two questions: 1. What is the gray sheet value both bid and ask for a 1927 S peace dollar in MS-63 grade. 2. Any suggestions on where is the best place to find one. No one in my town has one, so who on-line is trusted and decent value with good costumer service.
Not sure about Gray Sheet numbers but an MS-63 can be found on E-bay or VCoins for around $600-$800 I guess. Take Care Ben
Here is a 1927-S I saw on E-Bay I throught the grading stuff was not allowed Is it ok because it for sale and not a bid? http://cgi.ebay.com/1927-S-XF-AU-Pe...ryZ11980QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItem and another overgrade http://cgi.ebay.com/1927-S-Peace-Si...ryZ11980QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItem
Philly Dog, Grading is absolutely allowed on eBay. The only grading eBay does not allow is when you put a numeric grade in the title. This only applies to the title. Even numeric grades are permitted in the description.
Thanks for the info. I think the one coin if you scroll down he has it as MS-61 but not in the title. That's why I buy almost all of my coins from dealers I know and from shows where I'm paying near gray sheet price
