I'm not sure what you are asking. Are you saying that you know it's a Doubled Die but have a question on the letter T? If the Die striking the planchet was broken at the letter T you would have a Die Break not a piece of the T missing.
    Looks like damage to me

No I’m asking which DDO it is. Look on variety vista for what I’m referencing to. The T was struck over a broken T hub. I’m trying to figure out which ddo it is but I need help

There are a large number of them. Google " variety vista 1941 broken T DDO" , since that is the main distinguishing feature of most of them, you can compare their photo with yours. I have a suspect, but you will get more out of it doing it yourself.

Thanks! I tried looking them up on variety vista but it didn’t look like any matched to me. I’ll go double check!

What would you say it might be?

I have somewhat changed my mind, in that as I look carefully at the T in trusT on yours, the broken edged part doesn't have the angles of any I could say 'that's it'. At first I thought it was #10 due to the area and the small remainder of the cross bar that seemed apparent. But the angles couldn't let me justify it, yours has angles that appear as a blunted point, rather than flatter in #10. Sorry if I misled you at first sight, I would have to shift to damage some stage along the process until I found supporting photos not on that site. Jim

Huh ok thanks so much for the help. I feel like the T looks thicker on the top but I can’t really tell.

It does appear thicker, but it also could be die deterioration doubling, see this page
    http://www.errorvariety.com/OFD/DDD.html

. "Further down is a common LDS example of a 1955P with DDD on the second 5 and also across IGWT (sometimes called a poorman's double die, a misnomer)"

You need to look carefully and with magnification at the other images and letters and see if the thickening is towards the parameter ( most common for deterioration) or towards a direction, left rotation, right rotation like the 1972 series of DDO varieties. It is a lot of effort for a relatively low value series such as the '41, but you can improve the eye :) Jim

Thank you so much! And to me the T looks a little weird to be damage although it is possible.

Rick, I have flashed back and forth between that one and the OP, and I agree they are similar, but I do not think that ever die state or wear could account for the difference on the left arm of the "T", but I have no solutions either. Jim

    I think it's this one Jim .
