Geez Doug, you are being pretty hard there. I am sure that it's worth at least bullion value but as for the prenium, I am not too sure but you might want to check out ebay to see if there is any similar examples. I kind of remembered that when they were first released, they did cost a fair bit. Again, depends on the demand of the market.
yep :hatch:just checked about 49 dollars ..more...last one sold for 250 and gold was lower a month ago one is listed at 200 now shall see what it closes at but your right i hear that line from the coin shops scrap i tell ya right into the bucket with the other scrap ..ok can i buy one for the scrap price lol umm i don't have one now but it will cost more as i have to find one and if i have one uhh the phones ringing lol....just like the pesos those hold the least value give you like 70percent of the worth of the coin the 20 pesos i was looking for he would buy for like 200 and sell for alot more that was a while ago what do they go for now i like the calander on the rev. aztec design if you guys are selling em for less than the market like they say they are worth let me know i will buy one...thanks for the honesty wouldn't expect anything less....rogerwilco out
I have the silver version and that was sold at a premium, so iwould imagine that the gold would go the same way
Perhaps gx, but my intent is honesty which is not necessarily what people want to hear. Having sold 2 entire collections in recent years I do have some experience with what things sell for and rarely is it what the owner expects. Typically, it is much less. And it should be remembered that many of the modern colorized, enameled or holographic coins are considered by many to be damaged coins without any numismatic value whatsoever. They are most often equated with silver or gold rounds instead of coins. Of if you prefer, with the gold or silver plated stuff like the State Quarters that some private companies sell. Yes you can sell them on ebay for what some consider a "fair" price. But then I have seen grilled cheese sandwiches sold on ebay for thousands of dollars. And in my opinion that doesn't say much for the value of something sold on ebay. I hate to be brutal, but you can sell anything on ebay and somebody will be stupid enough to buy it.
Not just Ebay Doug, pop into your local dealer and ask him what the Canadian Holos go for, I do mean the ones produced by the Canadian mint and not by some private company.
Of all the dealers here, in a city of 1.5 million, I do not know of any who sell them. Nor do know of any who would buy one for anything but bullion value. I understand your point Steve, but just because some people buy them for $XX.00 - that doesn't mean they are really worth that. People buy the gold plated SQ's for outrageous prices too. Do you really think they are worth those prices ?
nice is there a place where they sell coins here ? classifieds for numasmatics? and thanks for that i will be selling it with christmas coming and 8 kids waiting for santa won't get them all a gift but it will help me out :hatch:anyway ..rogerwilco out
Yes we have the open forum where you can list stuff for sale or trade, but please take time to read our rules before you decide to post :thumb: Here is a link to the rules http://www.cointalk.org/showthread.php?t=4324
