Ok, folks... here we go! I am sponsoring another grade it contest because of the 1909 VDB thread. I bought this a few years ago and as well I thought I got a good deal. It is entombed by NGC and I think it is graded correctly. I want to see who can be the first to grade it as NGC did. But I will accept ANY correct answer within 24 hours of the first correct answer and I will figure out some way of picking a final winner from those. I WILL NOT tell you that the contest will end in less than 24 hours, I will merely close it! Entries are limited to 2 per user, and all who wish to participate are welcome. The prize will be an 1827 US Large cent! Yep! I usually try to make it something interesting. I have been dying to run a contest for a while, so this should scratch that itch! Enjoy! mikenoodle
So I can make two grade guesses? Hmmm, I'm gonna go with MS64RB as the first guess and MS64RD for my second, if that is the case.
First off, beautiful coin. :thumb: Shame on those hits though. Still, I think it would either be a 62 RB, or they might have been in a good mood that day and been impressed with it, and grade it a 63 RB. Those are my guesses. Think it might be a 64 though, but that's been guessed already. Either way, very nice coin! Phoenix
MS61RB and MS62RB. Nice coin but if the hits weren't so noticeale on the reverse it might go MUCH higher.
