One hint: check the specifications for the avatar pic. It's easy to be too big a file. Now, if you want to get a head start, get the book below. It is the "bible" of American numismatics. Do NOT obsess on the price listings. The "best stuff" is the text sections.

@Dewdew it looks like it could be. The second pictures are a lot better. With smaller coins and very specific features it is always hard to tell from pictures so don't be discouraged if no one gives you a definite answer or if they keep asking for pictures. Good luck!

It's hard to tell, but this may be MD (http://www.error-ref.com/machine-doubling/) instead of a doubled die. The known DDR's for the 1970 S are all for proof coins, and your coin looks like a regular circulation coin. This is not to say that there are some on circulated coins that have not been found yet. Below are some good sites with pictures so that you can compare your coins to their coins listed. Also, look at the die markers for the doubled die coin you are trying to compare it with. These markers are anomalies known to exist for the particular die pair that created the coin and really help to match them up.
