I bought a coin from King Farouk's collection. It was a foreign ciin and only cost $10. You can find some of Newman's coins and currency for under $100 - just not the rarities.

Wonder if he collected wheat penny’s or Lincoln Memorial cents I would like to add one of his to my collection one day if he did.
    Thanks,

That is, until you get to be 79 years old, and still healthy.

The first coin he received was an Indian Head 1859, as I recall

We lost a great one. I think I admire most his honesty and determination to hold others to an ethical standard. But his articles, encouragement of young collectors, and of course, funding the Newman Portal were outstanding as well.

Highly recommend reading Truth Seeker: The Life of Eric P. Newman by Augsburger, Burdette and Orosz.
