Welcome to the neighborhood @bradleyhandy ! The six to the left are called planchets because they have gone through the upsetting mill to raise the rim slightly, but they somehow missed going into the coining chamber. The lone one on the right is called an off-center (O/C) strike because it went through the coining chamber. A rough estimate would make it about 95% O/C. Chris
Wait.. I can understand the 6 Blank Planchets in the roll.. But the 7th which is a way Off Center Strike? That Cent would of been protruding out of the wrapper!
It's pretty easy to get it in a roll. All you need is a hammer and steel rod to force it into place. Chris
you got very lucky then. the blank planchet have value. not sure how much ? that off-center coin is very cool and has value too.
@bradleyhandy $3.00 - $5.00 for the Blank Planchets. Guess what. The Off Center is actually Double Struck.. See that little Indentation on the opposite side of the struck side? That's what that is! $10.00 - $20.00 for that Error.
Those are awesome. And the one with the little piece attached is even awesomer. What I would do is weigh them. So you know which are zinc and which are copper. The copper is worth a little more. The zinc weigh 2.5 grams and the copper 3.1 grams. The one with the little extra piece is a special error. That's worth the most.
