May I note that your 1711 shilling has spectres on it, which were only placed on the guinea. I suspect these were fraudulantly engraved and the coin was guilded and passed off as a guinea.... !!!
You are spot on & I had not even noticed it, quite possibly trying to pass it off as a Half guinea due to the size. Not only had I not noticed but the dealer I bought it from had not either LOL
