Does anyone know why this penny is this color

    I found this penny in a bankroll it's a 1972 s the color is like a silver and copper look to it anyone know I appreciate it thankyou

    Looks normal color to me albeit not much browning for a 1972.

    I'm doing this over my cell phone I was thinking maybe it's a proof the finish is really light Cooper look but then thinking it was minted on a silver planchet or Nicole planchet

    So, you think it is a proof just because the color is different? Proof is a method of manufacture!

    I understand that the color of the penny is so milky white than any 72 penny I've seen never saw one this white looking
