I have a 1982 D copper large date penny. Is it worth anything?

Had it checked by local coin guy, he isn't sure since the June 2017 article about the 82-d small date. 3.1gs too. He asked me to send it off to PCGS. Are you sure this is nothing?

I'm 99.99% sure this is a large date, if you won't take it from me take it from Fred Weinberg @Fred Weinberg he is a known error speciaialist and really knowledgble, you will lose a lot of money sending it in here's a comparison.

As you can see the copper 1982 large date is sloppy, the copper small date is swan like and clean.

    Thanks,
    Jacob

I agree. Its a large date. That was the perfect reference image. The 12 hours thinking I had the golden ticket was nice. But alas mine is a large date.

Once you get used to looking at the 2 in the date you will be 100% sure every time.
