You guys better be careful with your jokes. They can turn on your cell phone from 9000 miles away.

Their sales can be fake sales to another account they own where no money was exchanged.

Or money laundering. A shell EBay seller is obviously selling fakes that no one will buy, and the shill buyer paying with dirty money which is then legitimized as "genuine earnings" by the shell EBay seller (who is pretending to be a genuine business), but is really part of the same crime syndicate as the shill buyer.

That's interesting! My mother bought me a souvenir card full of replica ancient coins on one of her trips when I was in my twenties. I completely forgot about it until I saw your post, @Kentucky . That's really strange! I've seen real ones posted on this site (I don't have one yet) but when I saw the one in the link you posted—I remembered the museum replicas that my mother gave me over 25 years ago.

Added edit: I think it's the coppery color that jarred my memory and I remember my Mum' saying she bought them at the airport gift shop. I think I passed them on to my nephew and I hope that's not him trying to sell them on Ebay :wideyed:;)

I may be hallucinating but I believe I may have found a real coin among the bunch. I may be wrong and remind that you can never be certain a coin is good from a photo but many are certainly condemned by even poor images. My 'exception' is one that they offer to lend to schools. When you see funny coins listed you should look at other offerings to see what can be learned. This group is a great resource for new collectors. Can you tell WHY each of these coins strikes us as funny? Are any of them evenly slightly appealing to you? Study harder.

This E-Bay listing is amusing at best and frightening at the same time. I am surprised that E-Bay would allow such a convoluted description that makes no sense. What do the rest of you think?
