These particular shapes "take the cake". This has turned into quite a trip through "Unusual Shapeland"! :woot:

An odd shaped coin with an odd center on the reverse. A chicken bodybuilder?

Wow, never thought about those wire coins. I recently identified this one as Tsar Mikhail Fedorovich Romanov, circa 1624 but I am not sure it is real.

I see no reason to doubt that wire money kopeck.

Continuing the "not struck in a collar/not perfectly round" theme, here is my latest addition to the Eclectic Box collection.

Iran (Persia): gold toman of Fath Ali Shah, AH 1233 (1817), Yazd mint
    [IMG]

Let's do more Persia/Iran next, or any "coins with squiggly writing", if you prefer.

Not quite round, and not struck in a collar AND some squigglyish writing on Daikoku's tummy. Not Persian though, a little farther East.

Keep going with squiggly writing (by that I mean non-romanji ;) )
