    V. Kurt Bellman Yes, I'm blunt! Get over your "feeeeelings".

Yes, "cheap knock-off" has been the stock-in-trade for much of Asia for the entirety of my lifetime plus a significant chunk.

Goes to the point that Ebay is only a "risk" for those who have not yet learned how to mitigate that risk.

Remember on eBay the buyer is always right, no matter how wrong they are.

Thank you. Now I know what they're called and won't have to ask again (and thereby appear that much wiser). ;)

Seems to be the merchandise companion to/component of the old saw that "life is cheap over there." :(

Which of course is the opposite of how so much of life works, i.e., mitigation just isn't part of the equation. Things either happen...or they don't. You can't take out bettor's insurance on the roulette wheel of chance.

How high is up? PCGS coins tend to bring higher prices, but not necessarily because they are the best graders, but they do have the best marketing. You can find accurately graded coins in any of the major TPG slabs. You can also find misgraded coins in any of the major TPG slabs. It really doesn't matter what the TPG's grade the coin, the question is do you agree with the grade. If you don't then the TPG's grade really doesn't matter. If I think a coin is a 63 I'm only going to pay 63 money for it even if the TPG says it's a 65. They only opinion on the grade of a coin that matters is the opinion of the buyer.

In case you haven't realized, this is a Ford vs. Chevy, Coke vs. Pepsi, vi vs. Emacs question.

  15. I have a 20 count mint tube of 2015-P or at least no mint mark that I believe to be Pensylvania silver eagles and was just looking at Ebay and there was a number of them at very high prices infact alot more than the price I paid for the 20 coin mint tube the ones for a high price were all graded and encapsulated, I am wanting to sell my silver that's why I was looking on there for an idea of what my coins may be worth, would it be considered a good idea to have at least my 2015-P coins graded and encapsulated.

The P silver eagles can only be authenticated from a sealed monster box, anything other than the sealed box will not get designated as a P

  17. So the fact I opened the tube to take a look at one of the coins makes them about worthless I don't understand that but theres alot I don't understand about silver coins and bullion, Oh well saah la vee. That's about how my luck goes.
    Thanks for your answer.

  18. I found information about what baseball21 said and now understand it all I wonder if the mint realized what a confusion they were going to start when they had Pennsylvania make the 79,640 coins and didn't have West Point mint put a W on the coins they made. The reason I thought that I had the rarer Pennsylvania was because of no mint mark which seems how to tell if a coin was made in the Pennsylvania mint one learns as they go on
