$50. I'm guessing you got this without the huge toning premium it deserves. Looks like two completely different coins in the pics., proving how important good pics are when attempting to sell online. Love the color, and looks MS 63/64 to me.
$55. I believe the first pic is probably a better representation. It's like the way holograms show up in slab pics when tilted. While technically correct, pics like the second one are misleading, they are not static and make the coin color appear over-saturated and rarely if ever seen like this. I prefer pics that look like the coin the avg. person will see when they first open the pkg. and look at it. I like to see the juiced pics where they belong - in an avatar. JMHO -Ron
I'm glad you have your opinion, to which you are entitled.. Both images are correct however, as it can appear both way's depending on the angle of the light. Which is why I have both images representing the coin. The image of the color is NOT juiced, it's exactly as it appears under my grading lamp when I tilt the coin to reflect the light directly off of it's surface and to my eye. I strive to represent my coins exactly the way they appear in hand. You do not have the coin in hand, therefore you cannot tell me the coin is over-saturated and rarely appears that way. I saw the color within the first few seconds of opening the package, when I received it. Therefore it is not misleading. What would be misleading, would be to show the single image of the color and writing a description stating that this is how the coin appears. I don't do that, I describe it as an iridescent color, which by definition changes with the reflection of light.
You just have to wait until the end to pounce... By the way, I have won most of my points without doing a +/- $1...it's just that this coin is more prone to having a very tight margin of guessing (and odd amounts since it was an ebay auction).
Yea, i woulsve guessed 50 until i seen that color wasnt completely visible in the auction photos plus its raw so.....
Same...I saw the picture and thought $45, but then read that it was raw and basically cut my guess in half.
Well @baseball21 pretty nailed it out the gate. It was a Buy It Now or Best Offer, I think the seller was asking $60.00 on it and they accepted my offer of $40.00. Here were the original sellers images (which I rarely keep)
Now there is a person that knows what and how to buy (@jtlee321 ). Based on the seller's pics, it looks to me like it was soaked in olive oil or something, and wasn't rinsed properly, which would have made me really doubt the color and the 'originality' of the surfaces. Awesome buy!
