How do graders spot counterfeits?

    Lemme Caution: It makes no difference if you collect fakes or not ... in Canada, you can't possess or own them unless they are clearly stamped. At the least, it's confiscation and, at worse, fines and jail. If you want to collect them, then get a "copy" punch out and start hammering.

    Contemporary? Is it magnetic?

    Not magnetic, appears to be silver or an alloy consisting mainly of silver. Has a nice "ring" when nutated on a table top.
