I found this today. at first I thought it was a dryer coin but there is no other affected area on the obv or any sign on rev and has a clear reeded edge. so I am hoping for a greaser but need to know for sure. thanks in advance.

The obv. top left area has been
buffed, and the rest of the coin
    shows circulation marks and contact.

    No error - sorry

Very well could be that spot just wore down quicker. But it looks a little odd. Hope for the best but always expect the worse

As in literally buffed?? Or is that a term I am unfamiliar with?

Yes, literally put against some type
    of buffing wheel, and buffed.

That coin has been lassoed and drug over the Rockies and back.

The dies were a little "past it," shall we say...

It looks like it was buffed on a polishing wheel and left to die, but still interesting. Is that doubling on the bottom of the "T" in Liberty?

No, that's damage - a 'hit' on the letter.
