Im pretty sure this is a ddo it kind of looks like the large over small date 1960 d but pretty sure its not because other than the date I dont see anything else to say it is but im nearly positive the date is doubled though. I cant find a RPM either. Maybe someone with more experience with this variety could shine some light on it for me. Thanks, Eric.
You are so pretty, surely positive! I might be just seeing MD or DDD and nothing on the Mint Mark IMHO
You have a 1960-D Small Date: http://www.lincolncentresource.com/smalldates/1960smalldate.html The 1960-d/d lg/sm date variety is dramatic - and ugly. This one is graded AU:
1960-D 1¢ WWHO-001 Small Date Doubled Working Hub Description: A spread towards the rim shows on the lower part of the letters of IGWT. Die Markers: Obverse: Small Date. Will vary among the individual working dies. Reverse: Will vary among the individual working dies. Submitted By: Various individuals Cross References: None known
Question: is the curl on the inside of the 6 and 9 that's doubled considered DDD? It's flat and shelf like so could that be MD? Thanks, Jacob
Hmm I guess they are all like that. All the ones I have looked at in the past must have been so circulated I never noticed it and thats why this stuck out to me.
