Quarter smooth and copper on one side

    Hi, I happened across a quarter I received as change this morning. It's lighter weight and half the width of a full quarter, it's also smooth and copper on one side. my husband thinks it's a mint error. Anyone have any information?

    post mint damage..theres no upset rim on reverse, someone ground it down...

    When you see that cartwheel design.. It's from a grinder. I also say damaged.
