Is a 1971-82 Series GB £1 Note worth listing on eBay?
    I'd call it AU.

If not, is it still usable in the UK?

I'm trying to "clean house" of accumulated items that are of no interest to me anymore.

I'd say with the fees involved it may not be. The UK demonetizes older currency once new designs are issued (and in this case the £1 note was replaced with the pound coin in 1983).

This just means merchants will no longer accept them but they officially retain their value "for all time" and can be exchanged at a few financial institutions in the UK with the main one being the Bank of England in London.
