So now that you have a cast copy, you have an opportunity to learn how to spot them. Notice the seam around the edge. Notice how the details are fairly soft and rounded, especially where the edge of the head and the owl meet the field. Notice, too, the casting bubbles, like the one on the reverse edge directly above the letter A. For $1 you just received an excellent introductory lesson in spotting fake ancients. At this point I would try to find a real one somewhere--museum, coin show, buy one from a reputable dealer if you can afford it--and compare them. You will learn even more.

A cast unfortunately...but probably worth a dollar just for the expertise it will give you in spotting forgeries.
