well worn 1803 large cent

IDK what F 2 is. AG-02 I can see. The obverse is close to P-01 and the reverse is close to AG-03. I could see a net grade of AG-02.
$5 for a cull coin of this date seems OK to me. I can't really make out the date,
I sort of see the 3 on the end. Did you win the auction?

 

yes I did. Might give it to my grandson. He would get a kick out of it. I think a grade of 2 is FR02??

 

Hey, you can see "One Cent" on the reverse and see the bust on the obverse. A fun coin at a low price. What's not to like?

 

F is used for Fine. F-12, F-15.
AG about good is for 02 and 03. G (good) G-4/ G-6.
P (poor) P-01.
I think it is worth at least $5 if not as much as $10.

Hmm. I see on the Sheldon scale they have a Fair 02 designation.
And AG (about good) is for 03- 03.5.
Although I have often seen AG grades for 02 and 03 and rarely/never seen
an FR-02 grade. Interesting.
