the T looks suspicious enough where I have to ask if it is a potential DDR? maybe on the L as well and the stars have what looks like notching. thank you
Then this is a historic day for me. Officially the first doubled die I discovered that was NOT on a state or territorial quarter. If non cents could see me now
Is it worthy of grading? And on its current condition and if it is the only known example reported what would it's value be and is it worth the cost of grading? Also does the fact that it is D mint increase the value?
I would get it authenticated, first. I don't think it would grade that high, but it would be worth more if it was established as a discovery coin before submitting it to one of the grading services. As for value, it would be hard to say. It depends on how many people would be interested in it. Chris
I wouldn't get excited about it unless James Wiles, lists it in the CONECA Master Listings. Larry Nienaber
How would he do that if I do t send it to him? Still though... I found my first legit doubled die on a coin that is not even meant for circulation in the same box as a bunch of other goodies. Plus things that maybe NO ONE has ever found in a half dollar box. That post is coming soon.
