Anyone know abo it the burn mark?

 

It is toning.

 

Is it normal? It is a pretty big flaw for a uncirculated coin

 

Once it lands in your own hands... It's circulated!

 

The silver eagle was repackaged by Littleton. It looks like it has a ding on the rim at the toning spot, so it may have caused a very small hole or crack in the holder. Over time, this spot is exposed to the environment and that is likely what caused the toning. Someone at Littleton could have sneezed on it or it could be a crumb from lunch years ago.

I don't know if you can tell from the picture but it is clearly a burn Mark from something it has a blue color to it like a mig welder had hit it.it does not look anything like toneing or Oxidation. Heat is definitely what cause it.i Will try to post a better picture to night when I get home. Also I have inspected the case with a magnifying glass and there is no damage to it.

 

Localized toning spot caused by the rim dent breaching the holder. It is not a burn mark. The coin is damaged and has been repackaged at some point, so the toning could have started previously.

I would suggest starting a new thread. More people will see it and you'll get confirmation that it's toning.

BTW: The original Cent you posted is a great find.
