Some people use the terms "wide rim" and "narrow rim" but I think it is easier to describe them as "near date" (wide rim) and "far date" (narrow rim). By the way, may we see an image of the reverse? It looks like this might be a misaligned die strike. Chris
Thanks for posting an image of the reverse. You can see on the obverse that there is a "secondary rim" from about 4 o'clock to about 9 o'clock, but there is none on the reverse. This is due to the dies not being in the correct alignment with one another. It is called a misaligned die strike. It's not worth any premium, but you might want to keep it for future reference. Chris
