    chrsmat71 I LIKE TURTLES!

I'm sort of weak in the architecture department, but here is a recent temple.

I actively look for roman coins depicting architecture. Find them fascinating. Here are some more from my collection.

The Temple of Janus on an As of Nero:

Sestertius of Nero showing a Triumphal Arch:

A sestertius of Nero showing an Adlocvtio scene in front of temple (hardly visible on this low grade example)

Although I don't collect them, I do like architectural types, and we've seen some nice examples so far.

IMHO the exquisite architectural reverses definitely "outclass" the profile obverses, which is no way takes anything away from the stateliness of the portraits, of course.

The scene shows a bull sacrifice at the dedication of the newly completed Temple of the Divine Augustus. Details show better on high grade coins like this one from Triton XVI that brought $37,000. Mine was cheaper.

Superb naturalism displayed by the exquisite detail on both sides of the coin.
