i do not know how to describe this i bought a punch of indian head cents one off them was heaver than the rest so i put on scale was 4.6 gm and i check the thickness it was 2.07mm the year on it is 1863 but the strange thing is on the reverse were below the reef is a mint mark s i could not get clean to see i tried my bet way to clean it but no use we will see what i am talking about if any ca suggest a cleaning method let have it please here a scan
do not waist my time on cleaning it but did you notice mark on reverse where the mint mark thanks any way
there was no other mint making these until 1908, that is the end of a ribbon tying the wreath together.
you do not see it is the thing next under the may i should take a scan and circulate with a red marker
The only MM on IHP is 1908 S and 1909 S. There's nothing there but the stuff that dreams are made of.
i am not an expert on any thing in coins or numismatic but i am not blind i still can see and tell the difference between a mark and a ribbon and i do know there was no mint mark until the 1900 i figure you guys know about this more than me so i could learn one thing or two i was to post a scan but it was too big it did not load i sse if i cut down
i find out today i am still a first grader still have a very long way to go i am sorry if i jumped the gun a little and if i every offended any body please accept my sincere apology and please forgive me i am still the first grader thank you all

No problem Khalil, We all have to start at some place It is always stunning to find one that has a mint mark such as the 1908-S or 1909-S. After long searching, I had to trade for them. Welcome, we can help. Jim
