Ok I would like to know why do people have a coin put in center of jewlery piece???
I found a horseshoe that has a Indian head one cent coin that appears to be clear glued on back side and can't see the outer part of back side of the coin.

These "trinkets" are commonly referred to as "encased coins", and were quite often offered as prizes in penny arcades. Usually, the horseshoe is stamped with "GOOD LUCK" but I have seen other machines that allow a purchaser to imprint such things as their name or date of birth on them.

    Because they want to.

Not a flippant answer. Someone literally thought it looked good, or interesting, or they thought they could sell them so they made them.
