So my question would be, who certified this coin? Not SGS I hope! A Half a million bucks for this? If it succeeds, then I'm hitting some of my coins with a sledge hammer and putting them up for auction. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=270148222877&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=017
i would ask them to post clear pics. blurry crappy pics like that are the 1st sign to run for cover and fast. but if they post or send clear pics, i would look up the cert number on icg's website (if they have that feature) just to look....
It looks like the whole reverse is peeled off. It could be legit. The price is flippin' outrageous though. This looks like a job for PennySniper !!
The error could be legit, but if i were buying an 09 s VDB I would want the whole coin, not part flaked off. I don't call lamination an erro, I call it a fault. The slab looks like it says ICG to me.
It is an ICG slab, and the outrageous prices WITH a " make offer " is just a way to try and induce a higher offer.
The sniper will not be trying for this one. Only an error specialist would spend big $$ for a key date error of this type. If anybody else wants a lamination eror, there are common dates available.
