I remember during the height of the BU roll market in the 1960’s there were so many ammo cans at coin shows you would have thought it was a gun show.
Just to even things up, so to speak, and to keep them fair, don't you think someone should be storing their ammo in coin holders?
Ditto on storing ammo in ammo cans. I have decades of storing ammo in them and as stated by others the brass is as shinny as the day I put them away. I think close to 25 years for some. I do notice that bare lead does turn dark over time. But that seems to happen no matter where or how it is stored. I just recently started using ammo cans to store only PCGS slabbed coins. They seem to work great. And I wouldn't remove the seals. Unless the rubber seal comes in direct contact with your coins, which shouldn't happen, they should be perfectly safe to leave in. And I just can't imagine that anyone would put bare coins in an ammo holder, or any kind of case. And all coins should be in some sort of holder, even if it is just the paper holding rolls together.
