I acquired this Half-Dollar dated 1907 s after a long time of my latest interest in ancient coins. I know it's somewhat scarce and would like to be informed about the grade of this coin, for it's type. It weighs 11.45 g. Thank you.
AG-03 Not scarce, except in higher grades. The obverse could have pulled a G-4 but the reverse is AG-03 and brings it down. Graduated 5th in the Ed Wood School of Grading Class of 2017
I would call it AG-3 as well. The loss of the rim on the reverse knocks it out of the G range in my opinion.
I show the mintage as: 1,360,000. Many of the later dates had a low mintage. This coin is available in circulated condition for around $15 or less. (The OP in the 8-10 area, melt is $6.15)
Thanks very much to all of you coin-fellows. Personally, I prefer this coin in such condition to another silver Half-Dollar of the seventies or sixties with MS grade. For me, the older the better. I'm basically a collector of ancient coin. Anyway, hope to catch an old US coin with MS grade in the coming future. Cheers..
