1954 s penny. Is this considered an error?

    That is some glue on the coin, (rev)
    the rest would be damage

    Not glue, its like a burn into the penny

    Then it is from being soldered, attached to something.

    Yes, it looks like a piece of metal has been attached post-mint to the cent. It does not look like a mint error.

    Maybe it was soldered on a piece of jewelry.

    Maybe, i wish i had the time to put everything ive got on here, ive been collecting coins and currency since i was 5

    Solder on the reverse, cleaned
    harshly, etc......
