Hi everyone, I was thinking of getting this coin, I have not seen one like this before,But the legends look wrong to me. Does this coin look OK to you ancient pros? Your thoughts or opinions would be greatly appreciated. costantine.jpg constantine1rev.jpg

It looks just fine to me. It's a city commemorative struck under Constantine I and his sons, like the ones shown on this page belonging to one of our members: http://www.constantinethegreatcoins.com/comm/

He also happens to have a good number of attractive examples available for sale that you could consider or use as a basis for comparison.

Ditto to what @zumbly said. Looks fine to me.

I'm not into Late Roman bronze, but I do like the Victory reverse on these.

it is a typical Alexandrian coin, like the one below -- RIC VII Alexandria 64

Something about that specific coin is just plain cool. No idea why it jumps out at me more than others, but it does. Being common doesn't make them boring, at least to me.

Looks like your terminal S on the obverse is a bit squished, could cause some confusion. Here is mine from Arles, which I purchased from Victor.

Thanks for the Feedback all, most appreciated. The squished C was what was throwing me off, it looked like a V. I checked out Victors site and store on v coins. Ordered a nice example of this coin from him also. Thanks again!

Yep, it's got some extreme serifs on that first "C"!
