    Thanks everyone:happy:.....

Always wanted a Alexander VI AV Fiorini di camera coin. A slabbed example MS-64/ Heritage Auctions Platinum night sold for BIG $$$$$. This coin was graded "EF-FDC" but is far superior to the Heritage example. They also struck 5/3/2 Fiorini di camera coins for this famous Pope. His daughter /Lucretia and son Caesar were also well known.

    Fantastic coin!

Do you buy off the auction photos, or do you have someone who eyeballs them for you?

When looking at higher priced items I've been chicken to buy just off the auction photos (directed at overseas auctions in general, including a few at Sincona), though I've had good luck with a couple of wins out of Japan/Europe. But that was primarily slabbed stuff, and I've gotten a few minor clunkers in the raw and lower priced items.

Actually, I had a prebid on a FDC Stolberg Dukat 1818....
Since it was raining in the morning, I could not go to work in my lawncare work, so I logged onto the Sincona Auction. My Stolberg coin went for really HIGH price, so I looked up more coins. I liked the Alexander VI coin, so I won it for 4250 Swiss Frcs! Its the best I have ever seen! A slabbed MS-64 sold at Heritage for 8000US, it was not as good quality.
