    Sorted through some pocket change today and came across these 2.

    1984-S proof dime and a 1955 silver Canadian quarter. Not bad for one day's worth of pocket change!

    Any day that you find silver in the wild is a good one!

    I found this in the “penny” container at my neighborhood spirits shop last Thursday. When the shop owner invited me to take it, it went into my pocket. I adore moose, so I was glad to find this handsome fella even though he is a bit beaten up. Queen Elizabeth looks lovely as always on the reverse of this one. ;)

    @LaCointessa
    Sorry to say that's not a moose. It's an elk.

    Ohh! Caribou....Nice animal! Thank you!

    Wait! Elk? What is the difference?
    Elk? Caribou? Moose??

    When I Googled "What is the difference between an elk and a moose?"
    I got:

    Moose is the largest of all deer and is easily identified from other deer not only by its size but by its huge palmate antlers. Elk is smaller and more slender, without the bulbous nose. But there is another view that Moose and Elk are same. The animal Alces alces is known as Moose in North America but Elk in Europe.

    And when I Googled "What is the difference between Caribou and a Moose?" I got:

    In most of Europe, the elk is called a 'wapiti', whereas caribou is known as reindeer. Elk and Caribou are part of the deer family and hence are quite similar to each other. ... In Eurasia, the name elk tends to refer to the Alces alces species, which is essentially the moose.

    Now I am confused but later when I have time, I can go spend time with Moose and Elk and Caribou.

    Thanks!

    Not bad for one days pocket change? Not bad for one years pocket change from where I'm sitting.
    I've never found a Canadian silver or a proof in pocket change (CRH yes, but daily change no).
    Nice finds, hope your luck continues.
