Neither do I, I confess. Can you clue in the rest of us? I see what looks like doubling around the D, but it doesn't look like it matches images of the D/D or D/S...
I just found the crack from the S in CENTS to the D mintmark interesting. I am no good at taking ultra close shots in high resolution, but in hand you can see that it goes up from the D into the E, then through VI to the rim. I figured that if it were a known variety the crack might be listed but I didn't see anything either.
You've got much, much better eyes than mine. Keep that in mind if you're ever looking at something that I'm offering for sale.
Found this coin for 36$ at a coin show, has a planchet error and a little toning too. Got a small discount.
I suspected last night that it was rpm-005 the area in the center of the D. Also mm placement is real close. 1938-D 5¢ WRPM-008 Description: D/D West Die Markers: Obverse Stage A:E/W die scratches above the date. Obverse Stage B:Weaker scratches above the date. Heavily pitted die. Reverse Stage A:ESE/WNW die scratches on the front leg of the Bison. Reverse Stage B:Heavily pitted die. Submitted By: Lloyd Hanson Cross References: CONECA: RPM #5 @Lunchbox John See if any of these die markers match.
I made a thread about this several months ago, but I picked up this Lincoln for 15 cents. I'm not sure if it has been cleaned, so any thoughts are welcomed.
Thank you, that site covers more ground for sure. Edit- evidently my guess was wrong. Not a bad 65 without the D/D anyhow.

I hit the local PNNA Show today. It was a busy day, not a ton material that knocked my socks off. There was some great stuff, but everything I liked was outside my budget unfortunately. I did manage to bring home 3 coins. These 2 were $5.00 each. The last coin was just over the $50.00 limit of this thread. First is a 1957 Washington Type B. The next one is an early Roosie with some nice toning near the upper rim on the obverse and lower rim reverse.
I got better pics of my 1959 Type B quarter. Found at the same show jtlee was at! This is actually one of the better dates you can get as Type B, but PCGS says $60 for a 64 and $85 for a 65 which is probably waaaay inflated. Still an excellent find for $6!
Hard to tell from those pictures... the obverse appears to shows some wear and not so much on the reverse. Hard to go wrong for three bucks.
I've always wanted a circulated 1932 quarter for some reason and found this hiding in a little corner at a local shop today....still has some nice luster for an XF. I earned it by getting thoroughly soaked on the way in.
This is a hammered denier of Bohemond III of Antioch, also bought today for $5. This coin was made by the Crusaders. Sometimes the history is worth more than the coin itself.
