Coin cleaned

  1. I have this coin a 1968 Lincoln that had a bad clump of something ,that was getting bigger,so I cleaned it. How much value does a coin lose by being cleaned?This is the coin.

    Yes, a coin loses value as a result of improper cleaning, but the answer to your question depends on the coin.

    In the case of a 1968-D Lincoln, there’s not much value to be concerned about. Here’s a recent sales price for a high grade 1968-D.
