Wow! Then I've likely a set of three (PDS unholdered) that could do somewhat similar. :)

This one surprised me a bit more than the New Rochelle. Seeing the full slab, it does look better than I initially thought. The hits were likely over exaggerated by the close-up photo.

The smudge on the slab isn't there anymore, and was removed in time for the fiorst posted pics (I really should reshoot the slab).

I made the mistake of thinking the die polish lines were scratches obviously

My apologies for my grade. Clearly I need some help grading this coin.

Don't apologize. I think it was a difficult example to grade, and in all honesty, I'm more in the 63/64 camp.

I also (and this is just my opinion based on my coins) feel that PCGS is a little more liberal then NGC with commemoratives. Again, I have nothing to base that on other then what I see with my coins. I have 18 PCGS and 11 NGC graded commems, and I think if I sent them all in for cross grading, most of the PCGS's would drop a point, and the NGC's would go up a point.

So, it would go smidge, smidgen, squoze THEN skosh?

I think the commemoration can be challenging to grade, especially once you get to the MS level.
