1800/79 cent

    Can anyone put a grade on this coin? Nevermind the title of the pic links, I'm frustrated trying to get the pics under 250KB

    I would probably just call it good.

    Same, not that i am greatly good at this, but way too much wear on all parts of the coin to call it anything but good - only gets that coz u can still read and see each part of the coin

    I would call it G4. The planchet looks nice - I see no corrosion, just honest wear. To me the rim ding on the reverse is minor. All in all that looks like a nice coin - and would fit nicely in with my low 1800's. For photos use http://photobucket.com/ - create a log in and then up load some photos. You can generate the commands to imbed into your post.

    I have one just like yours only darker and a little more worn. Looks like a good to me.

    I'd say G5 with a little too much wear to reach to a VG8. All in all, a pretty nice example of the coin in my opinion and it may even rate a small premium for a corrosion free planchet.
