Ancient coins of several cultures not yet on my site:
    http://augustuscoins.com/index.html
I lowered many prices on the site, especially those of the "Roman Alexandria" page:
    http://augustuscoins.com/RomanAlexandria.html

But, to get to the point, here are some coins:

    Aksumite.jpg
Aksumite (Axumite) anonymous c. 340-425 AD. 13 mm (most are 12 mm, but this one has a better flan). 1.26 grams. The Christian cross on the reverse makes it one of the earliest Christian types. The centering is remarkably good. [$59] Please compare prices and quality with elsewhere.

    Heraclius30numiaSB812.jpg
Heraclius, rare 30-nummia denomination (a big Λ for "30") CON mint
Two standing figures facing, reverse with Gamma officina
    Sear Byzantine 812 [$29]

    ThessalianConfederacy.jpg
    Thessalian Confederacy (League) 19 mm.
    Head of Apollo right
    Athena right. ΘEΣΣAΛΩN
Hoover "Northern and Central Greece" 225 "late second - early first centuries BC"
    BNC 60. [$29]

    DiocletianAbdicationALE.jpg
    Diocletian abdication piece. 24 mm.
    DN DIOCLETIANO BEATISS
    PROVIDENTIA DEORVM
Alexandria mint. Consular robes. Struck after his abdication in 305.
    RIC Alexandria 109 "late 308-310"
Rough surface, therefore only [$24 (instead of $155 or $220 for better ones elsewhere) ] A historical piece.

    CaracallaSerdica.jpg

    Caracalla, Serdica. 19 mm.
His bust right/CEP ΔON (for "of Serdica") Asclepius standing left with attribute snake-coiled staff.
BMC --. Good lettering and centering. [$23]

Shipping in the US is $2 for orders under $25, $3 up to $50, $4 up to $100, and an additional dollar for each hundred thereafter. To other countries is $3 more.

Most of my CT postings have sold out, but not this one:

    with some very nice coins.
