I tried to search for websites that aren't scams but I can't find any. I would like a website that allows returns and is cheap. Are there any good coin auction sites too?
I've bought a few deals from EBTH -Everything but the house. Proxibid is, I think a little high priced. Auctions Zip sometimes has decent deals. You have to pay that auction premium that's the killer. There are no returns unless the send you something misrepresented.
I would think that you want a website that offers quality coins of whatever type you like at whatever price point you're looking at. Lots of places sell crap for cheap.
No argument from me, here! If you want "cheap", you will more than likely get "crap". That is not to say that you can't get deals for a decent price, but that requires education rather than "hot tips". Chris Chris
If you are talking junk silver, your local coin shops are probably your best bet. If you are looking for quality, you should study what well known dealers have to offer.
Just Google whatever you're specifically looking for, e.g., "1916 Standing Liberty Quarter for sale" or "1931S Lincoln Cent for sale" (with the quotes) and you should get plenty of hits.
