And two news one. This 1924-D I lost at the last second on a ha.com auction, only to find the buyer on the pcgs registry set and work out a deal with him. So my highest graded wheat toner so far. 1909 vdb in ms67rb 1924-D in ms65Brown but it's the only colored 24-d ive seen. These will be going into PCGS when I get a solid 15-20 batch going again
I received this as a gift/bonus when I purchased my moose bar. Nothing special just a nice thought by the seller.
Got these two in finally on Saturday. The 24-d is a stunner and will be on its way to PCGS to get a trueview and secure slab soon
Outstanding coins!! Looking at those old cert numbers these have been around for awhile. If any are from Jeff's old set they have been in the same slab for years.
Yup bought Jeff's 1909 ms66bn,his 1926-s ms64rb (proof like surfaces) and his 1935-s top pop ms66bn. They were in old PCGS slabs, they've been at pcgs for about 3 weeks now. Tried the "reconsideration" service for some upgrades but they just stole my $100 and said they were all the same grade,so then I had thmlem trueviewed and new secure slab for all my toners. He has some on consignment right now,but the seller has the prices listed above what I was originally going to pay for them,so come Dec,ill be looking to buy a few more from him. I actually just bought your old 1938-D in 66BN that should have been a RB. It's quite funny how the same nice coins go to someone elses collection, but end up in the same spot. PCGS registry
At the time my old 38-D was a pop 1/0. Jeff tried snagging it from me for 2-3 years before I finally gave in. And then only because I had a replacement with a little more color, although it was of a lower grade and an RB. I do love the reverse rainbow. Too bad the obverse doesn't have similar toning. But if it did, it might still be in my set. Good luck come December. I'll be watching your set as it climbs past mine on the way to WL's.
