Off topic- I made a Darkside Gif...

It took me two days to make this @#&% thing. What do you think? (It's my first attempt at making a gif)

Fine with the animation. But you should be careful with the brightness. If you can't get the flash work when the coin is not with the entire anverse looking to you, try those frames to be brighter :
- with ambient light as you take the photo
- with a photo editor, after you take it

Al least, try every frame to look the same bright

A lot of trial and error with a program called Xara 3D6. Great program, lousy instructions, worthless help section. (my opinion)
I will probably use the gif in my posts until a mod. tells me to get rid of it and starts deleting it. I had that happen on a different forum.

 

I like it, but I think it gets dark a little to early. I don't know much about photo editing software other than MS paint, but I think it should get dark as the faces of the coin are moving away from you, not as they are directly in the center. Still, it's a lot better than I could do!

Yeah make it at its clearest when it is facing us and then darker as it turns to the side.
