    Yes the 163 year old is resting confortly next to an 1854 large cent.

    AU53ish and - I think - possibly once lacquered. Appears to have been brushed, although only the reverse shows sign of having needed it. I'm inclined to agree with @halfcent1793 about the "bounced" strike - think MD but rather harder - because the profile shows doubling as well. I do not think it would straight grade, but it's rather nice for a Details coin. :)
