Guys, I've been working on my Washington set and saw this: http://cgi.ebay.com/1932-S-Washingt...176192491QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item250176192491 The BIN price was $295. I won it with an OBO of $240. How'd I do? Appreciate any thoughts.
You paid greysheet ask for it. Means to me that you did pretty well. To some, it will never be good enough.
I felt my offer was fair based upon what I saw others were paying for the same coin in lower grades, even raw coins that were clearly a lower grade than AU-50. What do you think would have been a good price? You should be able to see it. I checked it again and it worked fine.
I think your offer was fair!! The last one I bought was graded AU53 and I paid something like $230 + S&H. But like I said....I have high hopes for this date/mintmark and I think even $300 for a nice one will be a good deal. I have a high bid in on an AU58 that I'm hoping I win!! Speedy
I think you did fine....you paid less than Greysheet ask and the coin looks pretty nice and original to me. I think the 1932-D and S Washingtons are a much better value in mid to upper circ grades than they are in Unc. They have fallen hard in Unc over the past year, as they got way overpriced quickly.
An original, authenticated, AU50, NGC slabbed 1932-S Washington Quarter for $240 is a good deal. I would have considered this myself. Of course, I prefer PCGS. But you didn't go wrong on this one.
