Another 1938-D Buffalo Nickel GTG

I've been anxiously waiting for this Buffalo Nickel to arrive. It finally showed up this morning. I'm pretty happy with how it looks. It's finally something other than a gold toned one. LOL Let me know what you think it grades.

Nice coin, but it's quite hard to grade it... MS65/66? Maybe UNC det - AT?

 

I would say 65. Tough with the colors - I prefer the golden tone where the luster just flashes when twirling. Same with some of the bluish ones. Nice coin.

 

I seen this thread and thought it would be another goldie. Then i opened it and said-

It's amazing how just the smallest tweaks in the lights and the removal of one can help these new images represent the overall look of the coin better. It's subtle, but to my eye almost identical to the coin in hand under my grading light.

 

It is straight graded.

I have no idea what the grade is but the toning is crazy. Excellent images as always!

I'm terrible with nickels, but I'd say 66*, or maybe even 67*?

 

Just curious, how many lights do you use? Looks like 3 in the first set, 2 in the second set?

 

The first set used 4 and the second set I used 3.

I see the obverse die was rusted on the neck!

...there seem to be a few hits under the eye on the obverse...otherwise nice colors and a cool coin!

 

66. I'd take it at any grade. Nice coin.
