That's a great coin @ro1974 , especially the reverse. I recently got two coins of his. The first one an ant. Maximianus, First reign, 286-305. AE Antoninianus Lugdunum, 287-289. IMP C MAXIMIANVS P F AVG Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Maximian to right. Rev. VIRTVTI AVGG Hercules standing right, strangling the Nemean lion; at his feet to left, club. Lyon 213. RIC V, 454. And a really nice follis with a killer portrait that blew my mind away when I saw it. Maximianus AE Follis. Rome. 300-301 CE 8.86g, 28.15 mm IMP C MAXIMIANVS PF AVG, laureate head right / SACRA MON VRB AVGG ET CAESS NOSTR, Moneta standing left, holding scales and cornucopiae. Mintmark S-club. RIC VI Rome 100b; Sear 13292. Note: Gloss black patina.
Its bronze...but it has a very glossy black patina that reflects a lot of light, which is probably why you thought it was silver. But hey, I don't mind it being bronze, it is a wonderful coin anyways. Thanks for the compliment.
That coin has a very glossy dark patina so it reflects a lot of light. It looks to me like a CNG auction photo. It is not silver. It would be good if members would refer to the poster or use the "quote" function in long threads when commenting so we can tell which coin they are commenting on. Just block a bit of the post and select "Quote" and then in your "reply" hit "insert quote". I agree that some of the reverses shown are "sweet", but which one elicited the comment? For me, the coin shown by @ro1974 is "sweet"!
I would love to have the OP coin in my subcollection of this reverse type! My Maximianus is from Ticinum:
