I briefly looked for a thread on this subject, sorry if this question has been aked before.

My question is: how off center does a note have to be, to be considered an error? as I had said in another thread I've been searching hundreds of notes and have found several off center, some worse than others but all still have atleast a little border.

    Thanks John

The edge of the note needs to impede into the design. But for some strange reason, people on eBay seem to think that if the design is shifted a little, it's worth a fortune.

    What gatzdon said basically.
You'll see misaligned prints at times (which may be the off center you're referring to. My rule of thumb has always been if one part ot the print is touching something that it shouldn't be then you have an error. Severity of the "shift or misalignment" tends to affect value greatly.

A note that has a slightly larger margin on one side versus the other is worth a buck.

Thanks Guy's. I'll keep looking for the ones that that would be a true error.
