Thanks for all the replies and advice, here are more photos of this Morgan, to me it is like a hologram that shimmers and shines like on a credit card or back of a graded coin. check out the rainbow Morgans on e-bay, many outrageous and questionable ones, in graded slabs, there is no set pattern for rain-bowing. from what Ive seen this is all natural maybe some old collector out there will know for sure if AT or NT. Thanks for the feedback.
Here's an expert on Morgan Toning: http://www.jhonecash.com/coins/tonedmorgans.asp Of particular interest for your coin in helping to decide if it's NT or AT would be this: http://www.jhonecash.com/coins/tonedmorgans.asp#ntvsat If nothing else, it's an interesting read, and educational.
Did I say it was done intentionally? SOME people do lots of things that most don't, but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen. Just trying to help someone be a bit more careful, but at $36, there isn't too much damage either way.
