    This could potentially be a Carthaginian of some sort. Can someone provide me with some information about this coin? Thanks! The coin weighs 14.12 grams.

    I'm on this ascearch.com very interesting. I'm wondering the value of this particular coin. Worth getting graded? I have a lot more to go through.

    So far going by what others have showed me and my limited knowledge I would say this is a Punic Carthage. Its approximately 30mm when compared to the half dollar. I found another example here on the right.

    I think this could be the best coin in the lot but who knows. Now I see why you guys stressed to post one coin at a time. Not sure what I'll do with this one. Any ideas of value or should I ask in "What It's Worth"?

    Worth $100ish dollars.

    Friends don't let friends slab ancient coins.

    We would rather be able to handle the raw coins.

    So what would the RIC number be on this one?

    RIC = Roman Imperial Coinage.

    Coins will be listed in this reference only if (1) they're Roman, and (2) they were struck at a mint that is generally agreed to be an Imperial mint. Some examples of Imperial mints are Rome and Lugdunum, but there can be many others.

    Your coin in this thread is not Roman and therefore doesn't have an RIC number.

    Ides is right your coin wont have a RIC number. I think it might be SNG Cop 342

    Ajax,
    Yeah that looks like the coin to me thanks! Okay so I'm officially into these things now and I'm gonna try to acquire an ancient gold coin next. I guess I'll start researching some auction houses. The whole index system is very useful. Thanks again from a noob!
